To start with the Featured Pages Unlimited plugin, fire the WordPress customizer in appareance > customize and open the Featured Pages section.
The plugin comes with really cool options that are all set in live preview in the customizer before publishing live. This makes customization ridiculously simple.

Exemples of integration with Customizr and the most popular WordPress themes
Location, number of pages / posts and layout
Since v1.4 of the plugin, you can choose a predefined location or set a custom one for your featured pages.
Choose a predefined location
The FPU plugin is compatible with any WordPress theme. By default, the featured pages block will be positioned right before your post list or your page on home.
For the most popular themes of WP.org, you will even have more predefined locations using some built-in hooks of those themes.
Just select a location in the dropdown list. To use a custom location, see the detailed documentation.
Define a page number
Just set a number of featured pages, save and refresh the customizer. The featured pages select fields will be generated automatically to allow you to choose the content you need to feature.
Choose a layout
You can choose 4 different layout in the dropdown list :
- 1 page by line
- 2 pages by line
- 3 pages by line
- 4 pages by line
The plugin uses a responsive fluid grid layout and will automatically adjust the featured pages to any devices, no matter which layout options you have choosen.

Setting a custom location New!
Since v1.4, you can now define a custom location very easily in three simple steps.
1) in the location dropdown list, select “Custom location”
2) in the text field that is revealed, write the name of your hook. For example : “my_custom_hook”
3) in your choosen template, add your hook as follow :
<?php do_action( 'my_custom_hook'); ?>
Hint : in most WordPress themes, the best place to add your hook is at the very bottom of the header.php template.

Selecting your content
With Featured Pages Unlimited. you can feature any content of your WordPress website. Not only pages, but also posts and even custom post types you have created.
Just open the drop down list for each of your featured pages, and select your content.

The main color section of the settings allows you to set the featured pages block background and to check the random colors option

This is a really cool features which will make your home page look really unique for any visitor on your site. It uses a random “flat design” colors generator to paint your featured pages : image circle, title, text and button. Of course, it keeps the nice zoom effect when hovering the different featured pages. 
Thumbnails settings
The images are set with the “featured image” of each pages or posts. If you did not set a featured image, the plugin will select the first picture attached to the page/post and use it as a thumbnail.
You can show or hide the page/posts thumbnail in one click. If you have enabled the random colors option, check the “Override random colors” option to show your image. (checked by default).
New (Nov 2014)! You can choose the shape of the thumbnail and decide to apply or not an effect on mouse hover with a new dropdown list :

Title and excerpt settings
This option will help you to customize the look of title and the text of the excerpt. You can even hide theme if necessary. Just play with those options in the customizer before publishing live!
Customizing the call to action buttons
The buttons are very important since they are the doors of your visitor’s engagement. Choose their style carrefully in accordance with your theme.
Like for the thumbnails or the texts : if you have enabled the random colors option, check the “Override random colors” option to prioritize your custom button style.

Is there an easy way to use the featured pages circles in the sidebars?
Hi. I’d love to use this plugin I purchased, but unfortunately, the featured number of pages “dropdown” doesn’t reflect the number of pages I select. For example, I select to have 6 featured, 3 per line, but the drop down only shows the standard 3 and doesn’t reflect the number of pages I’ve selected. This has happened prior to the new update (to 3.2) and after. Help?

Its EASY to install and configure and the simple to use GUI provides a huge amount of flexibility on how you style and position these elements.

I love this theme, it’s easy to use, tons of support for novice’s like me. There are code snippets with directions on where to put them. And a great forum with a great bunch of people willing to help you customize your site. Wish I found this a long time ago. Thank You Nicholas for a great job.
I have a couple of websites for myself and have managed the web page for a consulting company for a few years. My first pass 7 years ago was with self taught hand coded html and css. Very fast website, but very simplistic (matching my code understanding) and very poor aesthetic design on my part. Then went to RapidWeaver with a custom theme and the aesthetics got better, but could not let the consultants post directly to the blog without giving them development tools (not a good idea). Therefore a pretty stagnant website.
I had been using WordPress for personal blog website and decided to explore it as a multi-user content management system. Lots of nice themes available but not very customizable (and some have very weird terms of use). Then I found Customizr with the Featured Pages and Font Customizer plug-ins, and WOW. Decided to go with full unlimited licenses as I tried the base Customizr theme because it was so good (figured the plug-ins would be good too). Great tools! I have the basic understanding of how this stuff works, but writing more than a simple code snippet is not for me. The snippets made available here in addition to the plug-ins actually increase my understanding of what is happening, make my websites better, and further extend a great system.
So this is supposed to be a review of the Featured Pages plug-in which is great, but it is a review of the entire top notch ecosystem.

Oh, I was too tired and I placed my question wrong! Therefore, I would say any readers, I have not much idea with CSS and HTML, but Nicolas has just a dream of krativität which allows itself can usually be done by me. First I want to thank the author for giving me the ability to create my website with such ease and also get a professional look that I have never been able to achieve before.
I purchased the unlimited featured pages option and it is a bargain for what it has added and was ideal to my needs.
Now if only we can get more templates for other pages and be able to modify them separately from the main page also with the same ease and simplicity, then this theme would be the best in the market.
